Our Process

What We Test For

01

Cannabinoid Potency

Precise measurement of CBD, THC, CBN, CBG, CBC, and all minor cannabinoids. Confirms label accuracy and verifies THC compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill.

02

Pesticide Screening

Comprehensive panel testing for 60+ agricultural pesticides including organophosphates, pyrethroids, and neonicotinoids. All results must be below action limits.

03

Heavy Metal Analysis

ICP-MS testing for lead (Pb), arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), and mercury (Hg) — the four heavy metals most commonly found in soil-grown hemp.

04

Microbial Testing

Screening for harmful bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella), yeast, mold, and other microbial contaminants that can pose health risks if present in consumable products.

05

Residual Solvents

Verification that no harmful extraction solvents (ethanol, butane, propane, hexane) remain in the final product above safe thresholds.

06

Terpene Profile

Full terpene analysis confirming the presence of beneficial plant compounds including myrcene, limonene, linalool, and beta-caryophyllene that contribute to the entourage effect.

How to Read a Certificate of Analysis

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document from an accredited laboratory that confirms a product's chemical composition and verifies it meets safety standards. When reviewing a COA for hemp products, focus on these key sections:

1

Lab Identification

Verify the report is from an independent, third-party laboratory — not the brand's own facility.

2

Cannabinoid Profile

Check CBD potency matches the label claim. Confirm Delta-9 THC is below 0.3% (federal legal limit).

3

Safety Panels

Look for PASS results on pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, and residual solvents. Any FAIL requires investigation.

4

Batch Number Match

Cross-reference the batch/lot number on the COA with the number printed on your product label.

5

Test Date

Ensure the test date is recent (within 12 months) and corresponds to the current production batch.
